Neil Read is head of Ceramics, Glass and Metals at NCAD and is currently on a career break.

He graduated in Ceramics and Stained Glass from Edinburgh College of Art and has served on the Board of the Crafts Council of Ireland, the committee of the Glass Society of Ireland and is the Chair of Irish Contemporary Ceramics. He has exhibited recently at the Royal Hibernian Academy, Farmleigh House and The National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks.

His work has been purchased by the National Museum of Ireland, the Royal Museum of Scotland and the National Collection OPW Ireland.
